We specialise in unframed artwork of the highest quality and create any piece you wish to your specifications. We believe in promoting art and not the selling of expensive frames.
Make use of our three phase system explained below to actively communicate what you want your artwork be. You can even see the result in your home before you buy anything.
Phase1 : Information
What do you want to create?
Firstly you decide on the size of your artwork. The size, medium and quality will determine the quote that is provided to you. Please see the bottom of this page for our pricing guide.
This should be accompanied with a description of what you wish your artwork to be. You can submit sample pictures, colours, ideas or even a story that you wish to be depicted. Family photographs, portraits or landscapes can be enlarged or redone. Anything you wish!
Phase2 : Design
Here is where the creativity comes alive!
Our designers create a preliminary sketch or digital artwork of your creation for you to see what the final design could look like. This is where you become the artist by telling us exactly what changes you want and how you want it changed. We correspond with you until you are satisfied with your design.

You can further enhance the control by virtually placing the artwork in your home. Simply send us a photograph of the area you wish to put the artwork, with a measurement of the height of the wall.
In these images a request was made for a 100cm x 100cm boxed canvas, expressive painting, to suit the surrounding area.
Our artists and designers came up with a few samples for the client and the option was taken to warm up the room as seen in the image. With this feature you can choose the atmosphere of your home and you will have our expertise to help and guide you along the way.
You can compare colour schemes, size and even the theme of your artwork. You can make any changes you wish and because all of this is just the preliminary phase, there is no cost involved. Production will only start once the design has been approved by you!
Phase3 : Production
As mentioned, production only commences when you are happy with the final design and it has been approved by you.
Delivery can be expected from two to four weeks after approval. If you should wish, regular updates could be arranged to keep track of the production of your piece.
Here is where we make it worth your while. If for whatever reason you decide not to take the final product, you do not have to buy it. A minimal charge might be put in place merely to cover the material cost, but if you wish not to take the artwork, it will remain the property of Custom Art Design and it will become part of our online gallery.
